Typed transcription, abstracted and edited in 1989 by grandson O. Norris Smith, of portions of Presbyterian minister J. Henry (Jacob Henry) Smith's diaries and other material beginning in 1859 and continuing through the 1860s, most of it relating to life in Greensboro during the Civil War. Included are letters of Smith's wife, Mary Kelly Watson Smith. An index is also included.
